         British singer (and occasional songwriter), with a strong taste for R&B,
    Caribbean, New Orleans, and other rhythmic styles. He made a series of
         well-received albums in the 70s but finally broke through commercially in the
         80s, singing in the Duran Duran side-project band Power Station and later on
         his own with his Addicted to Love in 1986.
